| is there any rule, that teams from russia and ukraine can?t be drawn in one and the same group? are there familiar rules for other regions? |

| Russian, Ukrainian, Norwegian and Swedish teams were qualified as 'climatic problem' teams and were so set to team 'E', and therefor also excluded from playing eachother. Other rule was English teams were 'B' due to domestic cup-obligations. And it might be so that Germans also had to be 'B' for an unknown reason. Next there were some ABCD/EFGH pairings. I saw Espanyol-Sevilla, Heerenveen-AZ, Bolton-M'bro, Basel-Grasshoppers, Shaktar-Dnipro |

| I can't think of any "german" reason for being B. And Hertha isn't. Hertha is team D. |
