I'm from Russia and I'm happy for all russian teames which came to the gropu stage,but mostly for Zenit.
Last year Zenit played only one game against AEK and it was in Russia and ended with 5-1.After this Zenit took only 4th place in the group and AEK 5th.Though we clearly realised that Zenit could be amoung 3 best but AEK didin't even play last game against Alemania in their home ground.There were a lot of talks about that situation.People said that if Zenit payed to AEk than may be thay could play at leat a draw which was good for Zenit,it didn't happaned.So this year AEK had a chance to show everybody that last year lost was only because that AEK had no game in Athens and Zenit could make some kind of revange.SO now we can see even Athens didn't help greeks.

May be AEK is really so week playing at home

2 points for Osirus:
1. AEK had huge financial problems 2 years ago and the new president is building a new team from the beginning with few experienced playerd (eg. Greek internationals Katsouranis and lymperopoulos) and many new kids. AEK is a totally different team from the one playing in champions league 3-4 years ago.
2. AEK's stadium in New Philadelphia is being rebuilted and now AEK uses the Olympic stadium who is not a ggod home as it accomodates 70 000 fans something impossible for AEK to have on weekdays (Thursdays) against unknown (in Greece) European teams (eg. Zenit, Aachen etc.) I admit that Zenit is a better team than AEK please don get me wrong, unfortunately not many Greeks ever heard about Zenit, they only know the big Moscow teams Spartak, CSKA, Dinamo and Lokomotiv.

Yes I remember there were conversations on stimulation АЕКа.
Pier Greeks left on the Petersburg club.
But the Zenit has a basic policy, he never stimulates other clubs and does not participate in nofootbal to struggle.

I think the Russian clubs haves very high chances to borrow 9 place, and there can be even 8 place in the countryranking ' 06.
CSKA and the Locomotive play houses with clubs from pot 1 and pot 2 and on a visit with clubs from the pot 3 and 4. I think they will leave from groups from the first place with 3 victories and 1 drawn game.
Zenit in the pot 4. he plays with club from the pot 1 and pot 5 houses and pot 2 and 3 on a visit. All depends on contenders, but 2 victories and 1-2 drawn games real result.

The zenit will leave from group from 2-3 places.
In games on a start all will depend on contenders and a condition of teams after a long game break.
