| What have the Refferies about german football Teams. Always whistle they about germans. Did they got a lot of money or do they have antipathy.
This was not penalty for Athen versus Bremen |

| Take a look at Ajax-Arsenal? off-side+schwalbe makes 2 goals for Arsenal + lots of other decisions against Ajax |

The penalty was clear. Although Reyes wants it. Do u really mean that there was offside against Ljungberg on the first too? Because I dont. On the other hand you are right that Arsenal got other descisions easily in their favour. But not the goals. |

| You have no idea what you are talking about. For example: The Bayern goal should have been disallowed. And it's Panathinaikos you bloody German ignorant.
Did I mention that Ballack is the biggest diver ever? |

| Well, Toenne, I understand that you are angry about the referee in the Pana - Werder match (the penalty for Pana definitely wrong, another penalty for Werder could have been given and Conceicao could have been sent off).
But of course, that has nothing to do with money or antipathies. I will have a look when Monsieur Poulat will be nominated by UEFA next time. |

Edited by: Ricardo at: 28-09-2005, 08:34 | Actually on the second goal it was first off-side (I think, 80% sure, as on TV it was not good visible) and then Reyes runs into Vonk, the goalkeeper. OK Vonk was a bit too late, but he turns away, trying to avoid the collision. Reyes plays the ball, too far away, and then runs against Vonk. Ofcourse the 45+1 minute should have been 1-1 already, Ajax is to blame most, but I found the referee terrible pro-Arsenal. |

| you forgot the first generous penalty given to werder in the QR3.
I think the greeks players must be punished due to his simulation and severly. Maybe after players won't have yet this behaviour. |

| I agree with Toenne , either it was clear a penalty kick, but the referee made so many mistakes in favor of greek side in time of the game. In my opinion,i am not a greek or a german, but yes it was a penalty, because the german defender made a move in lateral after the ball was passing, so he wasnt play the ball. Yes, it was a stupid move but this mistakes are making the differents in a game. |

| Well, peter, but inspite of the move, the Werder defender didn't touch Torghelle at all. Basically however, I agree. You have to live in football with one wrong decision, but here, there were at least 2 wrong and 3 doubtful decisions, all decisive and all in favour of Pana. |

| Both penalties were at least doubtful, and the red card on the end was a joke. Being German myself, I certainly cannot be proud seeing Hamburg in the next round... Sorry Kopenhagen fans, you were robbed on that one... |

| I find it rather funny that some seem to see referees "against" the german teams.....well, having seen HSV in KKopenhagen today, it was exactly the contrary. Never penalty in the extra-time.... |

Edited by: Michele at: 30-09-2005, 12:12 | Hi all. As many of you may know, I'm a FCK fan and I'm completely and utterly devastated by Messias, the ref in yesterday's game. First of all, after every incident, he called a player over from each team and gave both yellow cards instead of just warning them. So lots of players had yellow cards near the end. This was equally harsh on both teams. But when you give 2 penalties to the away team for hands when the arm was glued to the body on both occasions, you lose all respect with me. If at all you are to give a penalty in injury time in such a game, a murder has to be committed in the penalty area.
And the tragedy didn't end with two imaginary penalties, 3 players were sent off in the final 10 mins. Boulahrouz for his 2nd yellow card appeared very hard and so did Silberbauer's direct red card after the goal. Peter Møller's was probably alright since he tends to complain too much to the ref and was already booked. But it doesn't matter, he will end his career after this season and will never be able to sit his suspensions.
The worst thing about this farce is that it is not at all surprising. Messias hasn't reffed a single Premier League game this season because he's not good enough. His record this season is 1 game in the Championship and two in league 1 and league 2 respectively. Why does UEFA pick a man like that to ref such an important game? Don't they follow the local leagues at all? If you want a summary of his "brilliant" career, try to click some of the links in this link
But good luck to HSV in the group phase, you weren't the ones who ruined my season.
Mikael, absolutely gutted
EDIT: just found another link to support my theory of Messias' incompetence. |
