| It is unbelievable. Partizan had thousand chances to score, Artmedia (like always abroad) almost no chances. And than this drama with penalty shots.. Partizan was really the better team tonight, but they didnt deserve the achiaving of group stage - they didnt score goals.. Bravo Artmedia! |

Edited by: Sanibel at: 23-08-2005, 23:06 | And who would bet on them after 1 st match in Kazachstan (0-2). Who would bet on them in 119?minute in Bratislava (they scored 4 goal in the last minute of extra time)!
Then Celtic 5:0 and 0:4
And now Partizan.
I wish Artmedia good luck but I suppose 0 points in the group stage. |

| This is unbelievable, partizan had at least 10 great chances, and artmedia had one after big mistake od partizan defance. Partizan was much, much, much, much (and many more "much") better tonight, also better in slovakia, but... I wish artmedia every luck in CL, but after this game i am sure that they will be worst team that has ever played in championship league. |

| Petrzalka looks like a team with two faces, but it is not quite so. They are an average team, really not rich, coming from a weak league. But they have a fighting spirit and have an instinct to hold a chance if it is offered. I am not saying they are going to beat Manchester and Barca, but they will still catch somebody who will be happy to have them in the group, you will see. Slovakia needs some successes to let the wheels turning on. We have had the period we could beat the Czech brothers anytime - in 1976 squad who won Europeand championship 8 of 11 players were Slovaks. |

| Hello everybody. I am from Bratislava and I support Artmedia even though I used to support Slovan Bratislava before but they are stucked in league 2 now. I want to thank everybody for support and congrats. Artmedia really was a worse team today and they had incredible luck but those young guys deserved it for they heart and they great will for win. Artmedia probably will be one of outsiders in CL but money that they will earn there will help Slovak football a lot. Just imagine that Artmedia spent for last season sth about 1,5 million euro. Just compare to other teams. We will be the dwarf in CL but that is not important, important is that we ARE there. And last comment to Serbian fans. Grobari, You were amazing. I can imagine how upset You are now but I must fell on my knees in front of You, because the way You support, nobody else does. Maybe the fact that Artmedia is Slavonic team to will help You little bit. We will fight there for all Slavons, all Central and Eastern Europe. and "za Vas bratri" too. I wish You luck in WC qualifying because Serbia is Beside Slovakia and Czech my most favourite team. Sinisa Mihailovic forever.

| Congratulations from me as well!
Two questions: Is Petrzalka a district or suburb of Bratislava? German media just listed tonight's fixture as "Partizan Belgrad - Bratislava". And what kind of company is Artmedia? Do they own the club or are they just the main sponsor? |

| I dont know how Artmedia will be in Champions League, but for sure they (together with Thun) are one of these mysterious why all of us love football. Even in this period where money seem to be everything u can meet 11 slovak guys, who maybe are not so rich, who maybe does not play football so well, but that still have HEART!!! And when u meet these guys u cant be indifferent: that's why i will support Artmedia and i will say THANKS to them forever. Tonight is their night |

| Petrzalka is largest quarter of Bratislava and it represents one of five districts of Bratislava. It s not the most beautiful place in Bratislava but lot of people live there and it has very special post soviet (because of the concrete buildings atmosphere. About 150 000 people live there. About company Artmedia I am not quite sure. I think that they are just main sponsor and the main word in team have representatives of Petrzalka. But I might be wrong. In Slovakia it is quite usual to name some teams after they sponsor. And why sometimes Petrzalka and sometimes Bratislava? Somebody said that in ChL cant take part teams that are named after part of city.BUt I am not sure what I should think about this because Chelsea for example is name of part of city too. Anyway in ChL plays Artmedia Bratislava in Slovak league plays Artmedia Petrzalka. And last, maybe interesting, information for people who like football. The most popular way of supporting by Petrzalka fans is shouting "Engeraaaaaau, Engeraaaaau". It is very old, original name of Petrzalka from the era of Austrian Hungarian empire. |

| Almost everyone at this forum predicted, that Partizan will go through.. Look at the older topics. And now again almost everybody predicts, that being in the same group with Artmedia will ensure 6 points for each of the rest teams.. I dont think so, this season we will hear about Artmedia (and Thun as well). |
Author: nebula
Date: 24-08-2005, 12:36
| I don't think that we will hear more from artmedia, i wish to them to take few points but i think that that is not real, real result last night was at least 3:0. Only thing that they have is heart and luck (and i think thet they used all luck they can have this season). Yes, partizan didn't score in 2 games, and that is big problem, but partizan created 20 and more chances in 2 games. By that what we saw artmedia didn't deserve to go to CL, but Partizan deserve to lose because all of missed chances. Again , i would really like to see them get at least one point, but that will be hard. |

| Just wanted to add my congratulations to Petržalka and their fans (and to FC Thun too).
Maybe neither team will pick up many points, but they have already gained three points on their own coefficient, and helped their country too.
Most important, though, is the experience both players and fans will get. And the money the clubs will get. What do they say? About 15 million Euros guaranteed?
I hope Petržalka and FC Thun get to play in the San Siro, the Bernabeu, the Nou Camp, Old Trafford. And I hope the fans have a fantastic time.
Isn't football bloody brilliant!!!!????

| the problem of petrzalka might be the shadow of kosice hanging over them
they surely got experience there and much needed money, but shortly after that experience they went down in league (in which division are they right now?)
well artmedia can't be more bad that fc kosice, since they got nil points, so even 1 point will be enough to top this slovakian record
they might not get to third place, but why should they really end up with 0 points (as i've seen it, they played good at home, but badly away .... resuming they could get 2 draws at home, why not?) |

| Congratulations to Artmedia.
But the only reason they are through is Partizan's innability to score. That is the old weakness of Partizan. One has to consider that when predicting Partizan's results in UC. I remember them outplaying Real in Belgrade two years ago but also they could not score.
Before analyzing Artmedia's chances in GS I really think we should wait for the draw. With a little luck they could be third and move on to UC. I would like them to achieve that.
And Partizan should really get some good scorer. |

| Again I am curious for the future of Artmedia and their league
Probably the are going to urn around 5M euro that they did not expect (extra) 1) If Artmedia is well thinking, then they should know that they can have a realy dominant role in their league, for a few years 2) The coeff. of the league will probably increase and this means participating in a higher level of the qualification rounds i think.
Results like this could give some kind of boost to a team/league.
Either way, congratulations from Belgium to Artmedia |

To be exact 32 Partizan goal shoots against Artmedias 4. Good luck Artmedia but I am afraid that you used your quantity of luck for next 15 years. |

I probably start with the seeding 06/07 in a few weeks. Some leagues haven't started yet. And I have to see if the uefa.com tables are still right after the change of their site. And I also use the rankings from this site, so I have to wait until they are fully updated again. |
