| CS Petange (Lux) has lost 0-3 in Finland at Aliasi. There is a possibility tgey'll join round 2 either. As it seems du be, there is an UEFA-Inquiry, some games in Finalndwould have been tricked to get Aliasi on this UEFA-Spot. UEFA read that notice officially to the Petange-Players before the game..... Any news?} |

| Yes, I heard something about an 8-0 victory from them, that was a very strange one, because their opponent was also a good team. |

| Some days ago, I read in German football press that Alianssi lost a match voluntarily 0-8 by playing with a B team. The club is owned by a Chinese bookmaker.
Here's the full article (in German). Malko, I suppose you understand German. |

| A yes, that was it, they lost. Don't think they can be put out of the UEFA-cup for that. Moreover because it was a match from this season (7 July, away to Haka), so it has nothing to do with their qualification for this year's UEFA-cup. Only thing that could happen is that they get a fine (in matchpoints?) for this seasons league. |

| If they'll be put out, it will not be because of they lost or won, because of it was this season or last season, just because of a general ban due to tricked matches.........B |

| I can't remember that a team has ever put out of UEFA-cup or CL because of tricked matches in their new league season (so matches that had nothing to do with their qualification for the UEFA-cup or CL). But maybe they tricked more matches, also in last season(?). Then there would be a reason to put them out of the UEFA-cup. But they are quit late then with discovering it, as their season already had finished in November. |

| Marseille, as all of us know, were thrown out of the Champions League in 1993/94 because they bribed the opposition in French Championship matches. However, they had also qualified for that the 93/94 CL by winning the '93 CL, so they didn't need to regain their title to qualify because they were the trophy holders, and there was no evidence they bribed anyone in Europe. Nontheless they were excluded. But UEFA probably take a different view of deliberately losing matches when compared to actually bribing the opposition to lose theirs. |

| To note that about this Valenciennes-Marseille, many things are left in the dark, and there was never ever any evidence of anything....v |
