Unfortunately I don't see Sparta Prague in a place higher than 4th in CL Group Phase, and all other teams seem to weaker than even Polish top teams. I do think Czech national side should make it to the World Cup and has good chances to perform well there. |

Date: 09-03-2005, 11:52 | Off topic, but just to illustrate Finnish domestic football nowadays. This season Haka won Finnish league rather comfortable. They were beaten quite easily in UCQ2 by weak Norwegian team Stabæk (3-1, 3-1), that was relegated from NOR top division. Stabæk went on in UCR1 to lose 4-0 and 5-0 to Sochaux... One argument against including the other Nordic countries Iceland and Finland in the present Royal League have been the (considerably) lower quality in these leagues. But maybe they can make a joint winter league with non-Old Firm teams in Scotland ( Hafnarfjördur-Dunfermline 2-2, 2-1 in UCQ2).  And to touch topic, Romania-Holland 26th this month is a pretty interesting match for the Czechs. I presume a draw (or a win for Romania?) would be OK? |
