| At many tournements, head-to-head has an higher priority than the goal-difference instead earlier. Head-to-head gives more possiblities for set-up-draws ore Schebungs. When a country for the last match 2 points more than a competiting team and a better result head to head then he's allways enough at a draw in the last match and when his opponent has that to, than they can play an set-up-draw.
At the last European Championship Sweden and Danmark played draw to each-other to eliminate Italy, ore the draw was set-up, it's difficult to say, but they had the possiblity to that and they haven't had that when Italy could win the last match with a higher difference!
The last 20 years, allways in the last round of the matches all the matches are played at the same time to eliminate the possiblities of set-up-draws, and with the ruwl head-to-head, teams has more possiblities for set-up-draws then they had before!! |
