| When you add a new topic or reply you will see a new preview option. Can be handy when using codes for links, pre-format, or smilies.
Give it a try with a reply to this topic. |

| Splendid, bert!!! I think a lot of us have been a little afraid of using especially pre-formatting. Exposed like an idiot (which of course I may still be....) when all comes out in a shamble. |

Edited by: bert.kassies at: 30-01-2005, 13:13 | Again a new forum option: when you save a topic or reply you have 24 hours to edit your message. Indicated by the new Edit button to the left side of your message.
Intended to do some minor text repair or layout changes. Please do not change the nature of your contribution. Especially not when others have already issued a reply. Put new thoughts, insights, etc. in a new reply.
Hope you like it. Anyway, I have to do something during these long, dark, rainy winter-evenings without European Cup football.

| A user asks: "How can I remove the Edit button?".
Answer: You can't. The Edit button disappears automaticly after 24 hours. And of coarse the Edit button is only visible for the author of the message (provided he/she is logged in) and the forum administrator. |

| Bert, 1 problem: the edit button does not work correectly when you added a Topic. After editing the first message, I got an error" Topic already exist" (Next when I wanted to writ this in this topic I got my (changed) topic again). |

| Ricardo, thank you for feedback. This bug is fixed. Now you should only receive a "Topic already exists" error when you did not make any change while Editing.
That you got your (not saved but changed) topic back when entering a new message is intented behaviour. The old message is only cleared after a succesful Save or Preview/Cancel action, or after a session logout. |
