| The Uefa cup group stage is boring with 3 teams going through and also means from round 1 the clubs in the final will play 15 games.
To make it more exciting I would make rounds 3 and 4 single ties. In round 3 group winners would play runners up at home and CL 3rd placed teams would play UC 3rd placed teams at home.In round 4 Winner of matches between 1st and 2nd placed teams would play at home.
This format would mean teams already qualified will still have an incentive to finish higher in their group and also cut down the number of games from round 1 to the final to 13. |
