I don't think they have signed yet, but probably in the week-end. His nick-name is Panzer, Erik "Panzer" Hagen, I presume you know the meaning. Tough, uncompromising player that later years have learnt to avoid (too many) cards. He played his first international (surprisingly for many of us) for Norway this season vs. Scotland. Performed very well, and played against Slovenija, too.

Reminds me of the old (primitive) British defenders with blood and guts. Has improved a lot technically and tactically later couple of years. Never injured, of course. He is made of Panzer (armoured armour)..

I really appreciate that a Russian team are buying NOR player(s). Then the football magazines and newspapers will focus a little more on Russian league and Russian football generally.

Pity for Valerengen, though. Losing a very valuable player just when they have built a team that may compete with Rosenborg.

I just found a good description of Panzer-Hagen. "WYSIWYG" - what you see is what you get.

I heard from Zibir that Zenith have had another scandinavian player, with limited success, Jonas Vallerstedt. He is now playing for Sundsvall in SWE PL.

I know this topic is kind of off-Forum topic, but just to close it: Panzer-Hagen has this evening signed for Zenith. Transfer sum: One mill. euros.
Hagen gets 2 mill euros over three years.

apropos "Panzer" Hagen:
Do you know the nickname of Robert Huth in London?
"The Berlin wall".

Robert Huth got his nick-name because he is born in Berlin. I presume a girl can introduce Huth to her parents without them reacting. If Panzer was introduced as a son in law in spe, her parents would have cried 'Why didn't you choose that nice, good-looking fellow Vinnie Jones instead?'
