the same question for me.you read nothing in (german) newspapers about it. in recent years it was 1 mill Franken for victory and a half for remis, as far I remember.

Same is now.
Which means about 650.000 € for a win and the half for a draw.

Yes.
Additional amounts are paid for reaching the playoff stages. I don't remember the amounts, but there had been press releases by UEFA to this topic.

Sorry, what I wrote was wrong (or old).
This season, it's 500.000 Swiss Francs (~ 325.000 €) for a win and the half for a draw.
I have no idea when the change applied. Maybe in 1999 after the enlargement from 24 to 32 teams. Strange that I never read something about it.
Did anybody else here?

provisional data for 03/04 gave the following numbers(Uefa Direct 7.04):
Every groupmember 5.5 Million + 0.5 Million for a win, 0.25 M for a draw. Plus a part of the MarketPool(depending on games played and domestic league result in 02/03)
First KO-round: 2.5 M
1/4F: 3M
1/2F: 4M
Final-looser: 6M
Final winner: 10M

All this is in CHF
e.g Porto took home 27M+3M(MarketPool) and Arsenal 13M(1/4F)+30M(MarketPool)

I forgot to add: So in the KO-rounds it doesn't matter if you win twice or go on due penalties, reaching next round is what brings the money.

There is also a RegionalPool. If a Swedish or Danish team had qualified for CL group stage, Rosenborgs "start money" would have been halfed. Don't remember the sum.

Anita, can you explain the regional pool please?

It's aggravating when the CL is shown in Scotland England Ireland & Wales - but the English clubs get 10x the UEFA money - I'd be interested to see the TV audiences breakdown.

Thx, edgie, and rod, no I can't. Just heard it somewhere. Maybe on this Forum. I plainly refuse to read UEFA's rules. Fucks up my head.

If you look at page 8 in edgies UEFA-link, you will find what every association received from UEFA after last season. Macedonia picked up 1 mill, Norway 850 000. Solidarity money? Whatever. Yes, I know there is a logical and simple explanation, but I have a problem connecting to UEFA-wavelength. The language? Makes me feel stupid. Well.....

I observed one day (long ago, after reading UEFA-rules) that I use the word "may" instead of "will". Two teams 'may' qualify, instead of the obvious two teams 'will' qualify. Infected by UEFA-language.
