| 3:1 for poland. I guess that was well deserved, all team warked really hard. And Frankowski scored beautiful goal. My conclusion: Wisla is not all washed up (Zurawski, Baszczynski, Frankowski gresat performences). |

| Poland was a little bit better, don`t you agree. Austria failed to be effective. |

| And dont forget former Wisla player the left winger Kosowski. He did the work for Frankowski.
Polish football really needed that one!!! AND, maybee most important...Amica (U21) win 3-0 away against Austria! There is lot of talented players in Amica, and Im happy that they have a chance of playing together. Most of talented players of Wisla are playing in other clubs as a loan. If Amica can continue like this, in 2-4 years we could see something very special
And...in polish football, You obviously can see that the league is Wisla, Legia, Amica and Groclin. The rest does'nt count and will not count in the future either. Those 4 clubs have very good economy and modern facilities. Wisla is getting new stadion that in 2 years time will increase number of visitors from 10.500 to 25.500.

| What about other teams from Warsaw/Krakow? Isn't there a team Cracovia Krakow, or something like that? and what about Polonia Warsaw, Lech Poznan, or a team from Lodz? I see that the teams with the most number of championships in Poland are Górnik Zabrze and Ruch Chorzów. Do they exist? |

| Ruch, Widzew Lodz i LKS Lodz doesnt have money and they are in 2nd division. Lech lost to Terek Grozny and then loose 4 matches in a row and now is 4 from a bottom. In reality there are only 4 teams that can play in Europe. |

| They play in 1st league or 2nd (Widzew Lodz)but they have financial problems and their game isn't attractive and good. That's true in Polish league there are only 4 good team and after them nothing. |

| 2 EarlofBug,
For next 5-6 years:
Polonia Warsaw is playing at the bottom of 1:st division, the days when Olisadebe was playing is over. No future there. Cracovia back in dirst division, should end in the middle. The future...in the middle. Ruch Chorzow and Widzew Lodz are fighting in second division, Widzew might get back to first division. They have former Amica coach (Majewski is good coach) and the club is "owened" by Boniek. Widzew might get back to the top in few years. Gornik Zabrze is fighting in the middle. Kozminski, that owns the club, is trying the best, but they will probably stay in the middle. Most of top players and young talents are playing in Amica and Groclin. Legia and Wisla have the rest of them.
Best regards kronsky |

| Thank you all very much for your answers. It looks to me as there is a very good competitive league in Poland. Four good teams is more than in most of the European leagues. The Polish league looks more interesting than the English Premier League (: |

| NOW SPEAKS AUSTRIA! ;-) I saw the match and I think that we?ve been better, but Poland was cleverer. I?ve could win the match if Mario Haas could play till the end.
Since Christan Mayerleb was in the game I?know that we couldnt win the match. Congratulations to Poland
We don?t give up.
See you in Poland. |

| your right RAPID Austria was better (more organized) but you were playing at home... so was Wales and they dominated too... but both Austria and Wales lacked one thing... FRANKOWSKI who proved the difference!
Poland is 1 point behind England and 4 ahead of Austria(Wales is already out)... so that means that Austria MUST WIN in Poland!
AS for Poland... I don't think too many people really thought we could be 1st (maybe a few but we haven't had much luck against England) but we are happy with 2nd... its up to Austria to put up a fight!
If Ausrtia won't take points from Poland it might come down to the last game in the group for the 1st place... Old Trafford is what is standing in the place of Poland FINALLY beating ENGLAND (after 30 years of suffering)
get this:
in the 1974 qualifiers Poland beat England and made it to the World Cup... but then:
1978 no England in Group: made it in 1982 no England in Group: made it in 1986 no England in Group: made it in 1990 England in group, no WC 1994 England in group, no WC 1998 England in group, no WC 2002 no England in Group: made it in
2004 England in group... it time for revenge! |
