| Looks like the cruise for Nordic countries clubs came to the end. Denmark for now got lowest coefficient since 1990, with almost no chances for AaB this year. Swedish coefficient is not that drastic because of draw "arrangements", though we say bye-bye to HIF and DIF , and only most optimistic Elfsorg can think that it will be success. Norway teams are not good either , for OG and Stabaek is over and for BG chances are close to zero.
I beleive all are ready for full force Royal League including Rosenborg is they will not manage to beat Olympiakos home. |

| (maybe some of those teams wouldn?t be even in round1 if there was not regional grouping in qualifying rounds...) |

| From the Swedish perspective, this was a catastrophy. I still can't believe that the difference between Swedish and Dutch football is that big (Utrecht-Djurgården 4-0). What happened? Sure, DIF were stronger last year (Partizan 1-1, 2-2), but from what I heard, they didn't even have a chance in Utrecht. Hammarby shouldn't be ashamed of themselves (Villarreal 1-2), but it's still annoying they didn't get a result in Stockholm.
It's true Swedish teams were lucky with the new regional groups. According to my notes, with a straight seeding in QR2 Illicivec, Pasching, Rijeka and Banatski or Zeleznik would be seeded, at the cost of AaB, Elfsborg, Hammarby and Öster. Among the latter, three of four reached the first round. Among the first ones, none proceeded. |

| ... that's why I say: start a Scandinavian League. So you guys in the North can start competing with the rest of Europe. All these Spanish/Italian clubs... boring! |

| I would warmly welcome such a league, but it will never happen. All we get is Royal League, starts in less than a month now. I'm worried about the constructions of groups (national winner and runner-up play each other in all three groups; and are two group stages such a good idea?), but I have hopes about it. |

| same as in the Balkans. Croatian, Slovenian,Bosnian and Serbian leagues are just too weak and would be better in regional league but you know UEFA... |

| Thats why Johanson tried to improve the coefficient of Sweden and other Nordic teams so that they will be seeded in the future and hope to get an easy opponent and move to the groups of UEFA Cup. Just check the coefficients of Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Denmark, Lithuania and Latvia and compare them to previous. Latvia and Lithuania are not Nordic countries of course but they took the opportunity given by Johanson trying to help his country. |

| yeah a Scandanavian League is needed, so is a Balkan League
In rugby union we have a Celtic League - 3 clubs from Ireland, & Scotland, 4 from Wales and one from NI.
Since this league was formed crowds have got bigger, and Irish & Welsh clubs have done much better in European Cups. Ulster won the European Cup one year, which could never have happened before.
Imagine Dinamo Zagreb v Red Star, Steau v Levski etc all in the same league. It would be cool. |

| thrasher, what maranton mean is that this season all the Swedish teams were unseeded (according to UEFA- coefficient) in UCQR2, but because of the geographical format (Northern European group), they all got seeded. Peculiar link to UEFA president. And rather unfair. |
