| Sorry for this useless topic but after having heard for months in the French media that Paris at last was back to the European stage and that this should start a new era for PSG, I feel somewhat a bit amused by the straight 0-3 vs. Chelsea.
I have to admit that I find it very very funny and to be honnest most Frenchmen are really laughing tonight. They are ridiculous.
This said, Lyon has a very difficult game tommorrow vs. ManU and it might be tough not to be ridiculous too. Time will say. |

| Didn't Liverpool beat St Etienne in a cup final in Paris long ago?
When updating Team Ranking yesterday, I just had to move my cursor once (CSKA). All the other higher ranked teams won. And my team Rosenborg had three shots/headers in the goal post and two other 100%-chances in first half. They dominated the match totally, and surprising for me. And Pana just three chances and Rosenborg got a cheap goal in the end. That was all. I would have been well off before the match with a 1-2 defeat. Still pissed off. But...
Panathinaikos have no similarity with Barca or Chelsea, but losing with 2-3 goals on home turf is not a good start. Seems that Old Firm and French teams (yes, I remember Monaco) still have a long way to go before they can play with the tough guys on a stable basis. |

Liverpool had bet Real in Paris in 81. The only time St Etienne played in a cup final 1976 it was beaten by Bayern in Glasgow. |

| Yes, and to be very complete, St Etienne and Liverpool met in C1-Q 1976-77. St Etienne won the first leg 1-0 and Liverpool the second leg 3-1 with 2 famous goals, the one from Bathenay for St Etienne (equalizer) and the late goal of Fairclough who was the Liverpool "super-sub" of those times. The secong leg was an extraordinary game, still very famous in France (for the ones who are old enough to have seen it). |

| I watched the game(s) on TV, and though long ago, I may claim whatever on this forum, and couple of hours later I get the #"?/%#" and absolute result and absolute scorers. So question marks are obligatory, if I am not 100% sure. Yeah, Fairclough.
