| Well...
POT 1 is Real Madrid, FC Porto, Valencia, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern München, Deportivo La Coruña and Arsenal
POT 2 is AC Milan, Liverpool, Juventus, Internazionale, AS Roma, Olympique Lyon, Chelsea and Panathinaikos
POT 3 is PSV Eindhoven, Bayer Leverkusen, Celtic, Sparta Praha, AS Monaco, Anderlecht, Ajax and Paris Saint-Germain.
POT 4 is Rosenborg BK, Dinamo Kiev, Olympiakos Piraeus, Werder Bremen, Shakhtar Donetsk, Fenerbahçe, Maccabi Tel-Aviv and CSKA Moscow.
I would like to see a group Real Madrid, AC Milan, AS Monaco, Werder Bremen
Ranking by number of teams: 1.) England, Italy and Spain. 4 teams 4.) France and Germany 3 teams 6.) Greece, Holland and Ukraine 2 teams 9.) Belgium, Czech Rep., Israel, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Scotland and Turkey. 1 team
BTW, all Spanish teams are in POT 1 and all Italian Teams are in POT 2... Since teams from the same country are spread over both parts of the groups. (The BLUE and RED groups) and since the English teams are nicely spread over POT 1 and POT 2 and can't meet eachother, ...chances are quite big to get at least two groups in which there is a SPAIN vs ITALY. Or do I see this the wrong way?
Well draw at 16:00 CET on the 26th... I'll be watching |

| Yes, I was sitting impatiently waiting for Ferencvaros to equalize vs. Sparta Praha. Would have brought Rosenborg to Pot 3. But can't complain. |

| Pelotas, you're right. Real Madrid - AC Milan - Monaco - Werder Bremen would be the strongest group.
Porto - Panathinaikos - Sparta Praha - Maccabi Tel-Aviv would be the weakest. |

| @ anita: Rosenborg is a nice team, but don't you think it's better to be in pot 4 for them, the chances of going through aren't that big, and now they get a possible "bigger" name. Ofcourse, AS Monaco or Maccabi Tel-Aviv, it's a huge difference
@blancjb15: Porto could use that group to get somewhere this season, I don't expect much of them this season after they've been bought out... :S |

| Yes, I hope for the three P's as well for Rosenborg. Porto, Pana and Praha. And Pelotas, Rosenborg is not in there just for the money. A third place in group will give access to round 3 (seeded) in UC-cup, and yes, I would have preferred M.Tel-Aviv instead of Monaco |

| Monaco ? fans usually like to travel there (sometimes players too as Deportivo players last year were reported to have made some shopping there all day before the game, what might explain why they lost 8-3). |

| Ok well I hope Rosenborg gets through it then
The Belgian teams are in it for the money btw Belgian football hasn't been al that great lately but we're slightly improving.
Well Brugge and Anderlecht anyway, Standard and Genk are trying to keep up. But the results of the last few seasons are making sure the youth development keeps progressing. Especially for Anderlecht, their defence is averaged about 20 years old now Kompany, Deschacht, Van Den Borre, Traoré... Those guys can get very far! Must have heard about the first two already, both in the Belgian National team... (ages 19, 21(?), 16, ?)
Anyway, I think the belgian teams are concetrating on the future mainly now... and they need the money
The elimination of Brugge by Shakhtar is quite a blow for them... losing ground on anderlecht. Youth developement stretched over more years :'( |

| Do not underrate Maccabi Tel-Aviv. At home, they can be strong, I think. The stadium will be full for every match. And the fans are very expressive :-)
Remember Maccabi Haifa two years ago: 3-0 against Olympiakos and 3-0 against ManU B. And that was not at home. |

| Watch out with those really big names, when it's the fifth or sixth game of the group fase they tend to use B squads that don't work well. Anderlecht beat Man U that way too a few season ago... but that was at home Dunno... 2-1? Don't remember it all... |

| I admit, Maccabi Haifa didn't win against the big Manchester United. The key players didn't play.
When I say "not at home", I mean that Maccabi Haifa (and all Israeli clubs these last 2 seasons) didn't play a single match at home. They had to play in Cyprus (or Hungary, Slovakia,...). Now Maccabi Tel-Aviv will play their matchs at Ramat-Gan Stadium... |

| Maccabi tel aviv at home is never easy with 40 000 - 30 000 fan suporters but....Tel aviv also very young team only one player 30 years old ( 21.8 years EVERAGE!!! ) may be the youngest team in CL and they come to play "with the BIG" they too young may be to achive something in CL ... but the participate is important the experiece and next time may be... god knows any way Maccabi tel aviv must to buy new players for CL group stage to try to achive something there |

| Anita: A third place in group will give access to round 3 (seeded) in UC-cup ------------------------------------------------- No seeding there. It will be matches against second placed teams in UC groups. |

| Pelotas, If Anderlecht is in for the money, they have welcomed the elimination of Brugge with a hardly welcome! Anderlecht gets double the money I don't know how much, but PSV spoke about now getting 9 million Euro, [which otherwise would (partly) have gone to Ajax>. |

| VERY partly, RIcardo .
Only the share from the media revenues rises if there's only one team from your country, but that's marginal |

| Due to climatic conditions, Rosenborg BK and PFC CSKA Moskva will be assigned position 1 or 3 to allow them to play away on Matchday 6.
Teams will be paired, based on the TV audience and taking account of the provisions of the competition regulations concerning stadiums, when an association has more than two entrants. In Spain, for example, Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona form one pair, and Valencia CF and RC Deportivo La Coruña the other. |

Stupid I think. And why not also Dynamo Kiev and Shakhtar Donetsk? Football under snow and with -10 degree is also football :-) |

| Dinamo Kiev and Shakthar can't both play away on matchday 6, as teams from the same country never play home the same matchday (unless more than 2 teams are present). |

| JPV, For Anderlecht/Brugge indeed just partly, Anderlecht got last year 20% out of 'MarketPool', but for PSV last year they received half of the money from the 'Market Pool', the other half by playing+results[12% actually result!!> And for Celtic/Rangers it was also 40-45% |
