cw/lc & uc2 uc3 clarification needed

hopefully, the great man himself can address this.in several places in the 2002/03 qualification listings.there are examples such as the following.CW/LC slavia praha UC2 viktoria zizkov (qr).as far as i am aware, losing finalists do not get the highest entry into the uefa cup.so,am i right in saying that 1.if slavia praha win the cup, they go to the first round and viktoria zizkov enter the qualifying round as listed.2.if zizkov win the cup they actually go into the first round with slavia being demoted to the qualifying round ?.the reason i need to know is because i compile my own handwritten copy of the list.substituting ink for pencil as and when the various teams and their entry stages are established.incidentally,it would be a nice extra little touch if each cup final result was left under the league qualifiers not just whilst qualifiers still to be confirmed, but after they've been established.so,that we can see for ourselves as to why teams have received the various placings.finally,a note refering to "league cup" winners would round it off perfectly .i think there is just england, scotland and france ???.

Your observation on the order of UEFA Cup qualifiers is correct. In my final list of qualifiers, cup-winners (CW) or losing cup finalists (LC) are indicated. In case the losing cup finalist is also the highest league entrant it is indicated as UC1. Also if neither of them will play in the UEFA Cup the other teams are indicated as UC1, ... Only the League Cup winners of England and France qualify, and these teams are always listed last.

You are right about the extra information needed as long as not all teams are known. But I like my final list of qualifiers to be comprehensive. For all other information see RSSSF.

Finally, I think that users of this board should try to put questions in an open way such that all other users feel that their possible answer will be appreciated. There are many users on this board which know as much on European football as I do, and who are willing to answer your questions.
